U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan will participate in a Q-and-A with New York Times (NYT) editor David Leonhardt at 2:40 p.m. MT, Wednesday, July 2, at the Aspen Ideas Festival in Aspen, Colorado.

The discussion will cover a host of education topics, including the Administration’s education reform record; college value and affordability, the developing college rating system, student loan debt, and for-profit colleges; and equity and My Brother’s Keeper

Marking its 10th anniversary, the Aspen Ideas Festival convenes about hundreds of thought leaders from around the globe and across many disciplines to discuss issues that shape our lives and challenge our times.  It is sponsored jointly by The Aspen Institute and The Atlantic.  Duncan has addressed the Ideas Fest on two previous occasions, in 2009 and 2011.

David Leonhardt is the managing editor of The Upshot, a new venture at the NYT that focuses on politics, policy and economics, and has also worked for Business Week and The Washington Post.
