Education Department's Director of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships to Participate in 2011 Capitol Hill Summit of Faith-Based Leaders

Brenda Girton-Mitchell, director of the Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the U.S. Department of Education, will participate on a panel at the 2011 Capitol Hill Summit of Faith-based Leaders, an all-day event being convened by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand on Wed., June 15. The panel will take place at 11:15 a.m. Girton-Mitchell will discuss the many opportunities for faith-based organizations to get involved in Education Department's grant, contract, loan, and other programs to help address the pressing needs of communities across the country. The panel will conclude with a question and answer session with the audience.
