Greg Darnieder, the Education Department’s senior advisor to the secretary on college access, will deliver the keynote address to 250 participants at a Counselors Conference for Philadelphia’s middle and senior high school counselors on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 9:00 a.m. Directors of Philadelphia’s Student Success Centers, a drop-out prevention initiative in 11 of its high schools, will also attend. Darnieder will discuss the importance of Education Department’s FAFSA pilot program, which supports students through the process of completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to following through on postsecondary education plans.
