Education Department Assistant Secretary to Address Community College Student Leaders During Keynote

Eduardo Ochoa, assistant secretary for Postsecondary Education, will deliver the keynote address at the American Student Association of Community Colleges (ASACC) National Student Advocacy Conference at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 21. The event will be at the Liaison Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

This is the third year in a row the Department has participated in the annual conference, which brings together community college student government leaders and their advisors from about 70-80 community colleges nationwide. Ochoa will talk about the importance of protecting Pell grants, the FY2012 budget and various higher education programs during his remarks.
