Juan Sepulveda, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, will participate in a panel discussion with Hispanic leaders Monday in Los Angeles, examining the educational disparities affecting Latinos and identifying solutions to help Latino students reach their academic potential.
Hosted by Teach For America founder and CEO Wendy Kopp, the program, "Latinos and Education: A Discussion on the Pursuit of Excellence," will feature an interactive forum of about 1,000 educators and community members.
Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates who commit to teach for two years in urban and rural public schools and become lifelong leaders in expanding educational opportunity.
