Department Officials to Serve as Panelists at Association of University Centers on Disability Annual Conference

Assistant Secretary Dr. Alexa Posny and Rehabilitative Services Administration (RSA) Commissioner Lynnae Ruttledge will serve as panelists at the Association of University Centers on Disability annual conference Tuesday, Nov. 2 in Arlington,Va. The theme of this year’s conference is “Going to Scale: Making What Works Accessible to All.” Panelists will provide an overview of important developments of key federal agencies that impact children and adults with disabilities, their families and those who work on their behalf.

The conference will allow participants to share the latest information in disability research, education, service, and policy. More than 400 university center directors, researchers, academic staff, trainees and consumers are expected to attend the conference, and learn about the latest information on disability research, education service, and policy.Joining Posny and Ruttledge on the panel are Kareem Dale, special assistant to the President, Sharon Lewis, commissioner, Administration on Developmental Disabilities, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Samuel Bagenstos principal deputy assistant attorney general, Civil Rights Division, Department of Justice.
