Assistant Secretary Dann-Messier to Discuss Adult Learning Intiatives at National Center for Family Literacy Conference

Brenda Dann-Messier, assistant secretary for vocational and adult education, will discuss the initiatives the Department has undertaken to reform adult learning at the National Center for Family Literacy annual conference in Louisville, Ky. Dann-Messier will address hundreds of educators, policy leaders and stakeholders devoted to life-long literacy and parental engagement during sessions on Tuesday, April 5, from 8:30-11 a.m. EDT.

The adult education portion of the conference will address a range of topics, from differentiated instruction in adult education classrooms to how parents can prepare for the workforce. The event will provide cutting-edge information on literacy as well as free tools educators and students can use to learn.
