Acting Under Secretary Jamienne Studley will serve on a panel entitled "Leadership for the Innovative University" at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, in Washington, D.C.
Co-sponsored by Arizona State University and Georgetown University, the discussion will focus on the changing face of higher education as well as the typical pathway to the (college) presidency. The panel will explore the skills and attributes needed by the next generation of higher education leaders and the training required for those jobs in the future.
Presidents of both sponsoring universities – Michael Crow of Arizona State and John DeGioia of Georgetown – will welcome the panel. Other panelists include William "Brit" Kirwin, chancellor, University System of Maryland, and Joseph Aoun, president, Northeastern University, Boston, among others.
