Acting Under Secretary Jamienne Studley will give brief remarks followed by a Question and Answer session at the 2014 annual conference of the Council of Higher Education Accreditation, or CHEA, on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 12:45 p.m., in Washington, D.C.
Studley will discuss the Department's priorities regarding accreditation, the development of a college ratings system now in the works, and other issues important to the higher education community.
CHEA is a national advocacy association of 3,000 degree-granting colleges and universities and recognizes 60 institutional and programmatic accrediting organizations. The theme of this year’s annual conference is "Innovation, Disruption and the Status Quo: What Do We Want for Accreditation?"
