Acting U.S. Secretary of Education John B. King Jr. will testify before the House Education and the Workforce Committee on the administration’s proposed fiscal year 2017 budget for education Wednesday in Washington.
King’s testimony will take place as part of a hearing entitled, “Examining the Policies and Priorities of the U.S. Department of Education.”
The budget proposal focuses on increasing equity and excellence in American education. It would provide valuable support for teachers and school leaders. And, the plan would expand access, affordability and completion in higher education.
