Acting Deputy Secretary of Education Jim Shelton will give luncheon remarks at the National Convening on Higher Education Innovation summit on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in Kansas City, Mo. He will discuss strategies to create new pathways for education and workforce skills that meet the demands of a 21st century global economy. He also will highlight the President's plan to keep college affordable and provide good value for students and families. The event is sponsored by the Lumina Foundation, the Missouri Innovation Campus, the Office of Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
