In Scranton, Pa.: Rehabilitation Services Commissioner to Keynote 10th Annual Northeastern U.S. Conference on Disability

Lynnae Ruttledge, commissioner of the U.S. Department of Education's Rehabilitation Services Administration, will deliver the keynote address to the 10th annual Northeastern U.S. Conference on Disability Wednesday in Scranton, Pa.

The theme of the conference is "Transition Planning: In School; To Work; For Life. Commissioner Ruttledge will discuss employment strategies for people with disabilities and transition youth initiatives. More than 100 professionals from the disability field are expected.

As commissioner, Ruttledge oversees grant programs that help individuals with physical or mental disabilities obtain employment and live more independently through such supports as counseling, medical and psychological services, job training and other individualized services.
