U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will discuss the role of career and technical education in the Obama Administration’s agenda during the National Policy Seminar hosted by the Association for Career and Technical Education on Monday, March 5. The conference is at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va.
Kanter will deliver the keynote address to the seminar at 11:30 a.m., and she will focus her remarks on the importance of career and technical education in achieving President Obama's goal for America to lead the world in college graduates by 2020. She will also outline the proposals put forward in the president's State of the Union address and 2013 budget.
