U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will give remarks at Omega Psi Phi’s Centennial Grand Conclave at the Washington Convention Center on Friday, July 29, at 12:30 p.m. Duncan will encourage the organization, one of the nation’s largest African American fraternities, to help build the pipeline of the next generation of high-quality teachers in America’s classrooms.

In September 2010, the Department launched the TEACH campaign, which encourages more young adults, especially minorities and males, to pursue careers in education.
