Education Secretary, Deputy Treasury Secretary to Highlight Importance of Financial Education at President's Advisory Council Meeting

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will join Deputy Treasury Secretary Neal Wolin at a meeting of the President's Advisory Council on Financial Capability on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Duncan will address why financial literacy is a skill that all students need to learn in order to build strong financial futures, and he will stress the importance of incorporating those lessons into the classroom.

The event will be held in the Cash Room at the Department of Treasury at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Media attending with camera equipment should arrive at the Moat Entrance (south side of the Treasury building, adjacent to the Hamilton entrance) at 8:30 AM to allow time for equipment sweeps and set-up. No vehicles will be permitted onto Treasury grounds; equipment must be carried in. All other media should arrive by 9:45 AM and should enter the Treasury building through the Pennsylvania Avenue Entrance.
