Karen Cator, director of the Office of Educational Technology, will discuss improving teaching and learning with technology at Ohio State University’s Annual “Innovate” Conference on Thursday, April 12 in Columbus, Ohio. Cator’s remarks will highlight the use of educational technology to better engage students in the nation’s classrooms. Cator has helped the Obama Administration shape it's vision for using technology to transform teaching and learning, and has been a leading voice on connecting education policy to research, emerging technologies, and the challenges faced by the faculty, students and administrators.
“Innovate” is the university’s annual conference featuring the best uses of technology in teaching and learning at universities and colleges across the nation. Transformation is the theme of the conference, and will highlight the ways that technology can promote dramatic changes in the ability to engage students in the classroom and impact research and field study opportunities across the globe.
