U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, along with Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Russlynn Ali, will announce the release of the Civil Rights Data Collection, Part II (CRDC) at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Howard University in Washington, D.C. This far-reaching survey covers 72,000 schools serving 85 percent of America’s students, with self-reported school-level data on discipline, college readiness, teacher equity and retention according to race and disability status, among other data.
