Russlynn Ali, assistant secretary for the Office for Civil Rights, will participate in a discussion with 50 teachers from around the country as part of the group Education Champions for All’s “World Class Classrooms in All Communities: Listening to the Voices of Effective Educators.”
Education Champions for All recognizes the nation’s most effective teachers and empowers them to play a prominent role in critical conversations about the state and future of education in the United States.
Ali's Office for Civil Rights enforces U.S. civil rights laws pertaining to education — ensuring that America's schools receiving federal funding refrain from discriminatory conduct related to race, sex, disability or age.
