Assistant Secretary for Vocational and Adult Education to Address Maryland Career Pathways Summit

Brenda Dann-Messier, assistant secretary for Vocational and Adult Education, will give remarks at the Maryland Career Pathways Summit at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, in Hanover, Md. Dann-Messier will discuss the importance of strengthening career pathways to meet President Obama’s 2020 goal to be first in the world in college graduates and to ensure that America remains competitive in the global marketplace.

The Maryland Career Pathways Summit marks the beginning of the state’s implementation of a new framework for addressing the needs of both job seekers who need certain credentials and employers in emerging and high growth industries that are vital to Maryland’s economy.
