Eduardo Ochoa, assistant secretary for postsecondary education, will deliver a keynote address at the 2011 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference on Thursday, August 4, in Honolulu, Hawaii. The conference, themed Quality in Higher Education, aims to identify common attributes of exemplary practices at colleges and universities in the Asia-Pacific region. Organized by the University of Hawaii System, the conference will bring together higher education experts from the Asia-Pacific region. Ochoa’s remarks will focus on the role of the Department in fostering quality in higher education, as well as ways to share knowledge and best practices in the region.
