Assistant Secretary Dann-Messier to Address Human Relations Executives Attending HRO Today Forum at National Harbor, Md.

Assistant Secretary Brenda Dann-Messier, who heads the Office of Vocational and Adult Education, will address human resource executives attending the HRO Today Forum Wednesday at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center in National Harbor, Md.

Dann-Messier will discuss the administration’s strategy for creating a more competitive workforce through vocational and adult education. In particular, she will talk about how the Education Department can partner with companies to train and re-train workers to maintain America's leadership in the world, create more shared prosperity and jump-start job growth.

The HRO Today Forum is sponsored by HRO Today magazine, which targets senior human resources executives and covers such topics as strategic human resources, corporate responsibility, and improving HR business operations.

As assistant secretary, Dann-Messier leads the Education Department's efforts in adult, career and technical education, as well as community colleges and correctional education.
