Assistant Deputy Secretary Shelton to Discuss Collaborative Work with Department of Defense

Jim Shelton, assistant deputy secretary for the Office of Innovation and Improvement, will address military, government, industry and academic professionals at ImplementationFest, an annual event for the Department of Defense training community. Shelton will open the second day of the conference and discuss the collaborative work between the U.S. Department of Education and Department of Defense as well as the ways education can shape learning and innovation in the future. He will speak on Wednesday, Aug. 3, at 8 a.m. at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Fla.

ImplementationFest is presented by the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Readiness) Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative. It provides unique opportunities to learn about the latest research and events shaping distributed learning. The conference focuses on topics including immersive learning technologies, mobile learning and next generation learning environments.
