Washington, DC — Today at 2:30 PM EDT, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Education Secretary Arne Duncan, and Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Kathleen Merrigan will join Office of Management and Budget Director Jack Lew for a conference call to discuss the Administration's progress cutting wasteful improper payments by nearly $18 billion dollars as part of the Campaign to Cut Waste. The announcement is fueled by decreases in payment errors in Medicare, Medicaid, Pell Grants, and Food Stamps. As part of a series of executive actions, the Administration is also launching new pilot programs to further the progress being made cutting waste and fraud in Medicare and Medicaid.
